Stillness Is Not Empty
Stillness is not empty.
It is full of listening.
It is the breath held
not in fear,
but in care.
Truth does not always ask to be acted on.
Sometimes it asks to be carried
until the hands are strong enough
and the ground is steady.
There are seasons when knowing
arrives early
and waits.
Not everything that pauses is avoiding.
Not everything that waits is afraid.
Some things are aligning quietly—
muscle to bone,
heart to breath,
conviction to capacity.
Stillness is not the absence of courage.
It is courage
refusing to perform.
