July 2026: The Unplanned Path
Plans begin with what we know.
They are shaped by experience, informed by responsibility, and built around what seems reasonable to expect.
We make them because direction matters.
Not because certainty exists.
Then life introduces something the plan could not have anticipated.
Sometimes it is obvious.
More often, it is quiet.
A responsibility expands beyond its original edges.
A timeline stretches farther than expected.
A conversation changes what once seemed settled.
An ordinary day reveals something that had been hidden all along.
The plan was not wrong.
It simply did not know what was coming.
When the path changes, it can be tempting to believe we have lost our way.
But not every change means the destination has disappeared.
Sometimes the destination remains, while the route changes beneath our feet.
Sometimes what we expected does not vanish.
It asks to be carried differently.
There is humility in adjusting.
There is honesty in admitting that what we knew before is no longer all we know now.
The unplanned path is not separate from the story.
It becomes part of the story itself.
A changed route does not mean a changed direction.
