Through the Silence
A reflection on silence, emotional residue, and the parts of ourselves that remain present beneath what is spoken.
There are parts of ourselves that are easy to recognize.
Defined. Measured. Presented in ways that make sense to others.
And then there are the parts that are not.
The ones that learn to exist without language.
That continue without acknowledgment.
That remain, even when they are not seen.
Silence does not remove what is there.
It only changes where it lives.
Some things are carried quietly for a long time.
Not because they are gone, but because they have not yet been named.
And still, they do not remain hidden.
